Facilitator Training
November 5-7, 2026
Grace Memorial Episcopal Church will be hosting training for the individuals to be trained to be facilitators for “Walking the Mourner’s Path” on November 5-7 2026, from 8:30 am to 5 pm on Thursday and Friday and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. We are inviting persons interested from across the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana, as well as community members, health care professionals, others who are interested in learning to help people process their grief after a loss which could include a death, divorce, loss of relationship, retirement, loss of job, etc.
“Walking the Mourner’s Path” is a faith- based program that helps churches to reach out and serve those who experience loss and grief in their lives and their communities. The program consists of 8 weekly small groups centered in prayer. Leaders are trained lay and clergy that have been trained by the leaders of the facilitator training school. We are pleased to announce that Catherine Gilbert, the program director and instructor will be with us during these 3 days.
The cost of the program is $275 (early registration which is 30 days prior to the school), standard registration $375 (29-10 days prior) and late registration $450. Lunch is included for Thursday and Friday. Registration must be completed on-line, please click the button below.
