Dr. John Baiamonte
Laura Freeze
I have been a member of Grace Memorial since 2007. I have and currently serve as a Eucharistic Minister and lector and assist with the Adult Education Sunday School Class. I have served one term on the Vestry and served as the Vestry Clerk for the past several years. I agreed to serve another term on the Vestry out of a renewed commitment to our Church.
*Note: Laura is currently serving less than half of a vacated term and thus is eligible to run again for vestry. |
Jonathan Kemp
Jonathan was born and raised in Hammond. He was baptized at Grace Memorial and served as an acolyte for several years. Some of his fondest memories at Grace are Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and was standing room only. Jonathan currently is Louisiana State Trooper and has been married to April for nearly 12 years and has 2 daughters, Grace (9) and Allie Kate (3). As a member of the vestry he would like to develop more events that promote fellowship for younger families looking for a Church to grow in. It is in his opinion the future of Grace depends on younger families

Dr. Kay Maurin
Kay Maurin is the wife of Buck Maurin and they have two children, Darby (16) and Harry (12). She serves as the Chief Enrollment Management Officer at Southeastern Louisiana University where she has worked for over 20 years and holds a PhD in Higher Education Leadership, Research, and Counseling from Louisiana State University. Kay has been a member of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church since 2012 and previously served on the Vestry from 2015 to 2017. As an incoming member of the Vestry, Kay hopes to continue the work of expanding activities and educational opportunities for our church youth and strengthening the relationship between Grace Memorial and the Hammond and Southeastern communities. Grace Memorial is a special place and a wonderful church congregation and Kay can contribute in an impactful and meaningful way.

Gayle Miller
My family has been a member of Grace Memorial for 4 generations. With a new priest-in-charge and a growing congregation, perhaps I can provide some historical perspective as we move forward. I hope to help Grace continue to have a positive impact on our congregation and a positive impact on our community. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to serve on the vestry.
